B-Bops fries are what dreams are made of.

And B-Bops fries dipped in one of their chocolate milkshakes? There's really nothing better. Nights out to B-Bops are a regular in my house and have been since I was a kid. If you're from the Des Moines metro there's a good chance your family visited B-Bops a time or two, if not had heated debates on whether or not their flame-broiled burgers are superior to other fast food options.

I love it when couples look at photos together just as an opportunity for a date night. Don't get me wrong, getting fancied up is definitely fun once in a while! But there's a lot of undue pressure on couples to only take formal photos together, whether that's for your engagement or just because. So many folks I talk to mention how they only ever remember to snap a photo at wedding receptions or maybe a nice dinner on vacation, but hardly ever have any photos of themselves doing the things they love together. Documenting yourselves in your natural habitat will always make you feel warm and cozy; there's something really special about seeing how special the mundane can be when you take the time to appreciate it. And no one can appreciate the little things better than a wedding photographer who loves french fries.

We kept things casual, fun, and colorful for this date night photoshoot, spending our time focusing on little moments and lots of snacks. A special shoutout to Abigail for picking out the cutest, most perfect outfits for the relaxed vibe and Sam for eating literally everything I put in front of him.
